World Religion Day a success

The community came together on the weekend to celebrate World Religion Day in Halifax.

Dozens of friends gathered at the Rosaria Student Centre’s multi-purpose room at Mount Saint Vincent University for an afternoon of prayer, music, poetry and song from various faiths and traditions on Sunday, January 15. Members of the Baha’i Faith, along with representatives from the Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Mi’kmaq, Muslim, and Zoroastrian communities shared talents and fellowship for all in attendance to enjoy.001wrd2012

Baha’i Debbie Nicholson coordinated the event with Kim MacAulay, Spiritual Life Coordinator at Mount Saint Vincent University. Emad Talisman welcomed attendees on behalf of the Baha’i and MSVU communities. Saeed Foroughi offered music throughout the celebration and accompanied Leslie Hennan, who read a prayer to commemorate the day.003wrd2012
